BBNet provides funding to support advancements in Continuous BioFlow

Published on 18/09/24 · Categorised as News & Updates

BBNet has recently awarded funding to a group of researchers interested in the advancement of biomanufacturing and continuous flow biocatalysis. The funding will support a launch event in January 2025, with further funding provided by the Royal Society of Chemistry.

Chemists Dr Sebastian Cosgrove of Keele University, Dr Graeme Barker and Dr David Ellis, both of Heriot-Watt University, are organising the event following their recent collaborative funding application to BBSRC, where feedback highlighted that expertise was strong and the research timely. To gain traction in the area of biomanufacturing and flow biocatalysis they are keen to initiate a pan-UK network of likeminded individuals to further collaborations and advancements in the area.

The launch event will take place in January and will provide the opportunity for attendees to network and present, alongside some excellent plenary speakers in the field.
