Funds for New Investigators

These funds are to encourage early career scientists to work in the IBB sector. This is a specific call for proposals for PoC funds (up to £100,000 and up to one year in duration) for newly established academics (within three years of starting an academic job or obtaining a substantive independent fellowship) to develop projects within BBNet remit. Applicants will be required to include an industry collaboration or demonstrate a clear route to innovation in their work with letters from industry confirming that there is a credible market for the target of the proposal.

14/12/23: Deadline to submit a full proposal (by 17:00) by email to bbnet-manager@york.ac.uk

February 2024 to award projects and send award letters
