Support for early career researchers working in Biomass Biorefining
BBNet is delighted to welcome back Jo North of The Big Bang Partnership to facilitate a collaboration building workshop designed to support early career researchers enhance and develop their bid writing and relationship building skills.
Building on the success of a similar workshop in 2023, and in response to network members, a two-day in person workshop will be held at The Hilton Hotel in the historic city of York.
This workshop is designed to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and networks needed to succeed in developing impactful research funding proposals in the area of industrial biotechnology. It aims to;
- provide a comprehensive understanding of current sector opportunities, policies, and funding landscapes
- foster interdisciplinary collaborations and develop skills to build strong industry-academic relationships
- bridge the gap between emerging sector opportunities and practical application development
- provide the opportunity to develop and tailor a personal action plan to guide their next steps
Participants will be better equipped to navigate the complexities of funding, policy, and commercialisation, ultimately leading to more successful project outcomes.
The Big Bang Partnership are experts in helping research organisations develop effective strategies and optimise their potential. “I’m delighted to be facilitating this interactive workshop for BBNet members”, Jo said, “to work with academic professions in the early stages of their career is something I am incredibly passionate about, equipping people with the tools they need to thrive in their chosen area”.
